University Placements
We offer university placement opportunities for students keen to support single-parent families and gain experience in creative, community-based projects.
Be Part of a Supportive Community
At SPW, our single-parent volunteers shape what we do—running our Facebook group, writing policies, leading workshops, and organising events. Whether you want to help at one-off activities or take a leading role in planning and delivering events, your skills and ideas are valued.
Want to use your voice for change? Join our Campaign Group to influence policies, write blogs, and start new initiatives. Prefer hands-on help? Support at events, run activities, or buddy up with another volunteer—every contribution matters!
By single parents, for single parents.

Support & Community
We provide regular one-to-one check-ins and monthly in-person meetups, giving volunteers the chance to connect, share ideas, and get any additional support they need.
Volunteers are encouraged to buddy up when running events, and our SPW team is here to help organise and launch new initiatives.
By joining us, you’ll become part of a welcoming volunteer community within the wider Single Parents Membership—a supportive network of like-minded, friendly, and understanding single parents.
If you’ve had an idea of an activity or event for single parents that could work really well in your area please reach out to rachel@singleparentswellbeing.com and to sign up to volunteer with us please click below.
Together we can turn your idea into a wonderful opportunity for community, connection and to THRIVE together. Find out more about our Thrive project here.
